Female Abuse

Shockingly, girls are not the only ones that can be abused. I say this sarcastically, of course, but it is true that not a lot of people think of men as the ones being abused. We usually hear stories on the news about women being sexually harassed or beat in relationships. We hear about both physical and mental abuse being reported to the police, but rarely do we hear a about a man reporting his abuse to the authorities. A lot of this has to do with the fact that a lot of people might make fun of the victim or make him feel immasculine by reporting abuse. After all, men are supposed to be tough, almost unbreakable, right? Wrong. Men have feelings too, and it is very sad that most of them feel as though they cannot show their faces to tell their stories, but must resort to anonymous social media posts to convey their pain. This is an issue that needs to be brought into the light more. Activists on the Internet have done a great job this year doing just that, and there has been more talk lately about how a lot of times it is the man being abused mentally as well as physically by his woman significant other.
