This CNN report shows the storm that hit California today. It talks about how it is the strongest storm in years, how 225 flights were cancelled in San Francisco, how restaurants couldn’t open, how 2-3 feet of snow hit the Sierra Nevada’s and how some schools were closed for a “rain day.” A girl from my high school even tweeted about the storm today, as pictured below.
However awful the current mood might be on the west coast, the water is definitely needed, as I mentioned in my post on October 3rd. Mother Nature is really helping us out right now, and everyone should be praying for it to continue. This may be the end to years of water shortages, and instead of the news portraying the storm in a negative light, they should be making viewers excited and give them hope for the future of California. Their take on what is going on outside has a huge effect on how the public reacts.
